Statement from the Elected Committee Members 2025

We would like to begin by acknowledging the outstanding contributions of the outgoing committee members, who have contributed to MAMP with dedication from August 2023 to April 2025.

As we continue to build on the solid foundation they have laid, the newly elected committee reaffirm our commitment to the following three strategic priorities for the 2025 term:

1.     Strengthening the Governance
Recognising that many of us serve MAMP while managing full-time professional commitments, we will focus on improving administrative efficiency through the support of volunteers for routine administrative work and the use of automation/system.

2.     Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
We are committed to working closely with key stakeholders, including:

o   Government agencies (BSKB, BKRP, MNA, MOHE)

o   Educational institutions (universities and training centres)

o   Healthcare providers (KKM, university and private hospitals and clinical facilities)

o   Professional bodies or societies (IFM, PERFEKS, IAEA, AFOMP, SEAFOMP, COR, MOS, Malaysian Society of Radiographer (MSR), MyRAD, malaysian society of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging)

o   Industry partners and technology providers (related company, vendor)

3.     Unification of the Medical Physics Community
We aim to foster greater inclusivity and engagement among medical physicists across all sectors (public, private, academic, and regulatory) to strengthen our collective voice and impact.

Through these collective efforts, we aim to strengthen MAMP’s role in organising impactful activities and advancing the professionalism of medical physics in Malaysia for the benefit of our members and the wider medical physics community.
