IDMP 2026 ePoster Competition Now Open, with Radiation Awareness Week Open Day at PKTAAB USM

In celebration of the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2026, the Malaysian Association of Medical Physics (MAMP), in collaboration with Pusat Kanser Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (PKTAAB), Universiti Sains Malaysia, is inviting healthcare workers and students to share their ideas through the IDMP 2026 ePoster Competition. This year’s theme is “Advancing Global Health Equity: The Ethical Foundation of Medical Physics.”

Unlike a typical scientific research poster, entries do not need laboratory experiments, statistical analysis or experimental results. Participants are encouraged to share an idea, raise awareness, highlight a challenge or propose a practical solution that could make healthcare safer, fairer, more accessible and more affordable through medical physics.

The competition is open in two categories, Healthcare Workers and Students. First Place and Runner-up prizes will be awarded in each category. Submissions close on 31 October 2026 at 11:59 PM (Malaysia time) and can be made through the online submission form. The winners will be announced on 6 November 2026 at 9:00 AM during the Closing Ceremony of Radiation Awareness Week at PKTAAB, USM.

In conjunction with IDMP 2026, PKTAAB will also host an open day for Radiation Awareness Week (Minggu Kesedaran Radiasi) 2026 from 1 to 6 November 2026 at the CTC Lobby, PKTAAB, USM Bertam, Kepala Batas, Penang. Held under the theme “Beyond the Beam: Precision, Safety, and Patient Care,” the week offers members of the public a chance to learn how radiation is used safely to diagnose and treat patients. Everyone is welcome to attend.
