Dr. Yeong is a Professor of Medical Physics at Taylor’s University, Malaysia, and an internationally recognised leader in medical physics. She is the current President of the Southeast Asia Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP), Chair of the IOMP Medical Physics World Board, an IOMP Accreditation Board Member, and a committee member of the AFOMP Professional Relations Committee. She is also a co-founder of the ASEAN College of Medical Physics. She contributes actively to IAEA task groups and regional projects, as well as national regulatory and professional committees in Malaysia. Her research focuses on theranostic nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, and 3D printing in medicine. She has secured over RM3 million in research grants, holds four patents, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, three books, and two book chapters. Prof. Yeong has supervised 54 postgraduate students and received multiple awards, including the IUPAP Young Scientist Award, SEAFOMP Young Leaders Award, and Fellowships of IUPESM and IOMP.
