Jeannie Wong studied Biomedical Engineering, followed by a Master of Medical Physics at the Universiti Malaya. She received her PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and started her career at the Department of Biomedical Imaging, Universiti Malaya, as a senior lecturer in 2011. She coordinates the UM Master of Medical Physics programme (the only postgraduate programme outside the UK and Ireland accredited by IPEM, UK), has published more than 85 papers, and in 2023 became the first and only diagnostic radiology-certified IMPCB Diplomate in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Her research interests include radiation dosimetry, radiotherapy, medical imaging and radiomics; she has supervised 1 postdoctoral, 11 PhD and over 50 master’s students, and received the 2019 SEAFOMP Young Leader Award.
