Dr. — Assistant Professor, International Islamic University Malaysia (Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy)

Dr. Norhanna Sohaimi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She holds a Ph.D. in Health Science from IIUM, alongside degrees in Medical Physics and Medical Radiation from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a 2025 Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Studies. Specializing in Medical Physics, Radiation Protection, and Nuclear Medicine, she is a life member of the Malaysian Association of Medical Physics and Institut Fizik Malaysia. Dr. Norhanna maintains a robust research portfolio focused on radiation safety, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and involving funded projects, including a NIOSH grant on occupational health risk assessments. Additionally, she acted as an external curriculum advisor for Lincoln University College. She frequently serves as an expert speaker for national initiatives, including the RPO (Medical) Training and the Radiological Health Risk Assessment Workshops. Beyond her academic instruction and research, she has demonstrated dedicated leadership, serving as the former Head of her department and the Chief of the Covid-19 Task Force for the Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences, while consistently engaging in impactful community health initiatives.
